Red Handed

You caught me. I'm a procrastinator, a bit of a liar, a work-yourself-up-in-your-head-yet-still-never-accomplish-what-you-set-out-to-because-you-get-side-tracked-er.
I fully planned on telling you all about Disney and posting a great many pictures and even, perhaps, throwing in a video.
But, life got a little crazier and my time mixed with my schedule had me spread a little thinner. So, here we are months later Disney Vacation Part Two-less.

Oh, well. On another less embarrassing note, I got a job. (Almost two of them)
I went to prom.
I bought a car. (Soon it will be pink)
 I graduated High School.
I threw a party.
I received a Pink Kitchen-aid Mixer, a Cannon Rebel T3i, a pearl necklace, gobs of money, goldfish galore, a scrapbook of letters that brings me to tears, lets of well wishes, and a new wave of excitement for the things to come and a reinforced gratitude for the things I'm already blessed with.

Planning parties is so much fun for me, my mom, and my aunt.
As you can see this one went swimmingly. It included face painting, carnival games, hot dogs, candy, popcorn, peanuts, and carnival music playing through out.
My grandma made me some Lemon Raspberry and some Root Beer cupcakes,
as per my request, and my momma made green apples dipped in blue candy,
too cute.
With lots of drinks and horseshoes (my daddy managed to break said horseshoe in half, how does one do such a thing?!) and lawn games I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
The invitations were swoon worthy, and overall the whole thing was perfect for me.
My mother made the comment that in the end it looked like "it could either be a three year old's birthday party or an 18 year old's graduation party." HA!
It proved that I achieved what I was going for and it was so me! ;P

April was a blast and I'm ready for all that May has in store.
Hope you all have happy Mays.
XOXO

(P.S. The last for pictures are a sampling of my senior pictures, aren't they just the bee's knees?)

Plane Rides

Oh my gravy.
I can't believe how quickly January has whizzed by!

I've recently arrived home from a week long vacation to the magical Walt Disney world.
It was quite a fun visit with just my Daddy and a brother.

My flight to Orlando was a good one.
(Aside from the fact that I was seated next to a snooty lady who looked at everything like she was wishing she had a private plane.)
Fortunately I was able to ignore her pursed lips and constantly averted eyes.
Instead I watched shadows dance across my tray table, clouds shift, and hazy cities seem to drift by.
I felt the incredible pressure as we left the earth and flew.
(flying never ceases to amaze me)
I felt the tickle as we descended into the warm Floridian atmosphere, and my ears continually popping all the way through.
I peered at miniature cars cruising below me.
Enjoyed the view of an Orlando sunset from the sky, and the magic of the lakes reflecting the brilliant, fiery, colors.
My imagination flew with me. Dreaming up castles in the clouds, giants stomping across the map underneath me, and wishing for musically inclined dancing flight attendants.

I also couldn't fight off the drowsiness so generously forced on me by my Dramamine, and spent some time napping. I secretly hope I managed to drool on Miss. Snooty. ;)

After landing we hopped on a Disney bus, and anxiously headed for our resort.

To be continued... ;P

Busy Bee

This first week of a fresh new year was a packed one!

It began with a photo-shoot for 'Happy New Year' cards.
I doodled, taped, snipped, dreamed, rearranged, cruised, and hunted to set up,
and then I shanghaied my brothers into it and handed my momma a camera.
My props provided lots of giggles, my background turned out as planned (Christmas bows all over the wall) and I had the cards finished and printed by the end of the day.
Go me! ;)

Next I took my first grown-up trip to the grocery store.
I bought countless supplies for; baking yummy dog treats, making a fancy pendant light, and fixing my poor yellow teeth.

Afterwards, I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning baking and decorating dog biscuits.
The very next day my boxer sniffed the out at the back of the counter,
knocked over 1 of 3 jars, and ate all of its contents.
Stupid dog.
Although I suppose its a compliment that he just couldn't resist.

I went to tour a publishing factory, it was a real treat to see how books are printed.

Eventually the weather broke into the 70's!
(it was 70.3, mind you, but 70 none the less)
I spent the day walking Milo at the park, mailing cards, surprising the family with Sonic drinks,
swinging, chasing pups through the yard, flinging doors and windows open,
playing with cars, and finally cuddling up with the littlest brother and watching movies of
years past. :)

Today has been nice and slow, I've really done nothing.
Unfortunately, I hear clean laundry yelling "fold me!", a neglected room yelling "clean up!",
a rumbly belly yelling "quit snacking and give me real food",
and a shower yelling "trust me, you need me!".
*sigh*

Well, off to get off my lazy butt and accomplish something.
Keep having a nice weekend!

P.S. Sorry for the massive amounts of reading and pictures crammed into one post. :)
